Charlene has been fighting fast fashion with her hands, thread, and an eye for beauty for more than 20 years. Today she is still hard at work in her studio in Western Australia where she hand crafts dreamy and environmentally friendly women’s fashion.

“As an artist and designer, I specialise in creating eco couture from my own handcrafted eco textiles with minimal impact on the environment. I aim for zero waste in manufacture through hand made techniques and also seek fairly traded practice with under privileged communities for their economic empowerment. The textiles I produce are made from the purest of natural fibres, preferably certified organic and sustainably sourced, and Australian plant dyes.” – Charlene
